The original Darkest Dungeon II game mode is now known as Confessions, and Kingdoms is a complete revamp of its overall structure. You'll still embark on terrifying coach rides and engage in deadly turn-based combat, but instead of attempting to survive a lengthy journey, you'll be responding to an invasion by the ravenous Beast Clan.
Players must fend off these assaults, defending a series of inns while keeping their motley band of heroes in fighting shape, considering the larger strategic picture. Hunger of the Beast Clan is the first of three themed adventure modules, and two more are planned for release in 2025.
