Out of nowhere, Xbox has released its latest trailer for the brand today, and it's a pretty creative one that stars a human rat - or at least a rat who
turns into a human! The tagline for it is "wake up the human inside".
As you can see, it revolves around a rat-like human who's clearly suffering from the daily grind of the rat race, but as soon as he clocks off and returns home, he's able to reawaken his human side by playing some Xbox games.
Here's the official description for this new Xbox trailer, which is entitled "Wake Up":
In Xbox’s Wake Up, directed by David Fincher and Romain Chassaing, a wonderfully off-beat fairy tale unfolds: Horatio, a rat, rekindles his humanity through the joy of gaming. We follow Horatio through a day in the rat race: a packed commute, the drudgery of the office, a rushed lunch at his desk. The mundanity is interrupted by glimpses of mysterious gamers—the only humans we see amongst the rats. After a long day, Horatio powers on his Xbox on his Samsung OLED TV and connects with his friends. A much-needed dose of fun transforms him into the human he always was.
The directors of this new Xbox rat trailer have worked on all sorts of popular projects - particularly David Fincher, who's known for his work on Seven, Fight Club, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network and much more.
Again, the trailer clearly puts a focus on multiple devices as well, featuring glimpses at an Xbox Series X, an ASUS ROG Ally, a phone and a PC. So, what do you think? Liking the tone of this trailer?
