Naughty Dog, in partnership with Iron Galaxy and Nixxes, is adding new content to the re-release’s roguelike mode No Return, including two new playable characters: Bill (Smuggler) and Marlene (Risk Taker).
Each character has a unique playstyle giving you new options to experience the mode, and there’ll be fresh Trophies to unlock along the way.
But that’s not all: No Return is also getting four new maps to master, including Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. Each one has been inspired by a section or moment from the main campaign.
Meanwhile, a new outfit for Ellie inspired by Naughty Dog’s upcoming Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will also be available to unlock by spending in-game points. If you’re a PC player, you’ll be able to access this costume by optionally linking your game to the PlayStation Network.
Those of you planning to play on PC will find a whole slew of other improvements, including support for ultrawide monitors and DLSS upscaling compatibility.
There’s absolutely tons to look forward to whichever platform you’re playing on, then, and more than enough incentive to return to the title ahead of the new season of the show.
