Acclaimed indie game Spelunky 2 has scored a surprise native PS5 upgrade. Available now on the PS Store, if you already own this iconic roguelike then you can download the new-gen version free-of-charge.
While we haven’t been able to verify it officially for ourselves, various reports online claim this new version runs at 120fps on compatible televisions, delivering even tighter platforming controls.
We loved this game when it first released on the PS4, claiming it’s “well worth your time” in our 8/10 review. “More stuffed with secrets than ever and fleshing out the formula with all kinds of new additions, this is a rich and addictive roguelike with so much to unearth,” wrote our reviewer Stephen Tailby.
