Spike Chunsoft’s Dragon Ball Is Rumored To Be Releasing On Nintendo Switch 2
According to reliable leaker eXstas1s in his latest video, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is headed to the Switch 2, and should be available on the console’s launch (whenever that might be).
“Bandai Namco is a preferred partner for Nintendo, which in addition to developing games directly for Nintendo also releases its great games for its platforms, and there has been a lot of speculation and there have even been rumors about the arrival of Elden Ring and Teken 8 for Nintendo Switch 2. Well, these two games from what I’ve been told, of course they’re going to come to Switch 2, but we’re forgetting something that is a game that I’ve been confirmed to be and is planned to be released practically at the console’s debut: Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero,” according to eXsta1s (translated by Universe on Nintendo).
While the leaker is mostly known for spilling info about Xbox, we’re giving them the benefit of the doubt here given their track record. Still, as with anything unofficial, treat this with a gran of salt. But as a rumor, this makes a ton of sense, given Bandai Namco has been supportive of any platform that’s out there. Not to mention the publisher wouldn’t mind adding a few more copies of the game sold to add to its five-million sales mark.

It takes a lot to be considered the strongest in Dragon Ball.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero was released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 10, 2024, and garnered positive reviews. On Open Critic, the game has an impressive 82 critic average across 115 reviews, which is not an easy feat—especially for a brand that has a ridiculous amount of fighting games.
If you’re excited for more news regarding the upcoming console, the official reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 is set for April 2, 2025, and will be streamed worldwide. We expect the price, release date, and even launch games to be revealed then.
Speaking of price, analysts think the Switch 2 will cost more than $400, and its games will be priced by the now-industry standard of $70 (just like the PS5, Xbox Series X|S games). While that might be bad news for some, there’s also some potential good news: the Switch’s stick drift issue might be a non-issue with the Switch 2 based on recent findings.
