Konami shared the first official trailer for Silent Hill f during the latest Silent Hill Transmission stream. The game is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC, and wishlists are now open on all platforms.
Over 2 years since the reveal of Silent Hill f, Konami has shared the first new details for the game with a new story trailer. The new footage introduces protagonist Shimizu Hinako, some of the areas in the game, as well as a first look at some of the monstrosities and creatures that await in the new mainline title in the series.
Silent Hill f takes place in Ebisugaoka, a rural town in Japan during the 1960s. The game focuses on Japanese themes, such as terror being able to be found within beauty, and what happens when this beauty becomes too intense. As part of the livestream, writer Ryukishi07 was invited to talk about his work on the title. Ebisugaoka is inspired by Kanayama in Gifu Prefecture, and was suggested by Ryukishi07 himself.

Yamaoka talked about including some Japanese elements and sounds in the soundtrack for the game, but wanting to make it an experience that international fans would also connect with. The game will include little easter eggs and references to the series, but will be a standalone title that doesn’t require people to have played any game before.
Silent Hill f was originally announced on October 2022 with a teaser trailer revealing that Ryukishi07, writer and creator of the When They Cry series, would be the writer for the new title in the survival horror game series. No details have appeared since the announcement, with the Silent Hill 2 Remake being the latest title in the series to release.
Silent Hill f is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
