The fifth Black Ops 6 Zombies map is just around the corner, and our trip to the Liberty Falls mansion may coincide with an encounter with Eddie Richtofen!
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 recently delayed its Season 3 update, which was supposed to launch next week on March 20.
Instead, we’ll have to wait a further two weeks until April 3 in order to drop into Season 3 – where it appears a new Zombies experience will be waiting for us!
First Look at Black Ops 6 Season 3 Zombies Map
Treyarch has begun dropping teaser images for its upcoming Zombies map, set in Edward Richtofen’s mansion in Liberty Falls.
While the developer hasn’t strictly announced that a new Zombies experience is arriving alongside Season 3, leaks always indicated that we’d be heading to the mansion in the next major update.
Now that the developer is posting images of the Zombies map on its official social media accounts, it appears that a Season 3 launch is all but confirmed.
Teaser #1 – The Mansion Exterior
This image of the Project Janus mansion released on March 11, marking the first time Treyarch had publically acknowledged its next Zombies map.
Obviously, we know from the Liberty Falls introduction cinematic that the mansion had been home to Richtofen for some time.
But the cinematic also showed that the area is an important location for Project Janus, and that its secret basement was where the Forsaken was being kept inside its containment.
Teaser #2 – The Banquet Hall
The second teaser image showcases the Banquet Hall, complete with a mysterious painting that appears to be wired up to some strange machinery.
The dates provided alongside the new screenshots reveal that they were taken around 10 days following the zombie outbreak.

Judging by the image above, that seems to have been more than enough time to send the mansion into a state of disrepair.
It also means that it’s been ten days since the disappearance of Richtofen himself. The longtime series antagonist appeared to be abducted by the Forsaken, who may well have taken on the identity of S.A.M.
Seeing as Treyarch is posting what appear to be excerpts of audio log recordings by Richtofen as the image captions, it’s not unreasonable to think we’ll be picking up intel from the former Requiem Director himself throughout the map.
However, we can only hope that completing the mansion map’s Easter Egg Main Quest will at least lead to us encountering Eddie once again.
Let’s just hope the new map, alongside the return of Verdansk in Warzone, is enough to bring back player interest in Call of Duty. After all, Black Ops 6 just reported a record-low player count on Steam, indicating that many users are losing interest in Activision’s shooter.
