When it comes to perspective it seems that we most often refer to that in terms of looking at things a different way. But as those magic eye puzzles demonstrate, sometimes perspective can be a visually striking tool for solving puzzles and presenting new views of a familiar scene, as is the case with the newly-released puzzler Possessions: Puzzle Vistas for iOS.
The core gameplay of Possessions is simple (yes, I know I say that all the time but stay with me); you need to orient your perspective until every object within a given room lines up properly. As you go you’ll unravel the story of the family inhabiting the house while solving trickier and trickier puzzles.
Possessions boasts 33 hand-crafted levels and an atmospheric, immersive soundtrack that goes alongside the coolly minimalist visuals. The best part is that it’s also free to try, meaning you can give the beginning a go for free before deciding you want to buy in.
A matter of perspective
As I’ve written more than once, some of the best (or at least most intriguing) puzzlers are those that present simple mechanics that they continuously put new and challenging twists on. With that being said, while Possessions looks extremely interesting I’m not sure if 33 levels will be enough for those who get truly invested in it.
At the same time, that’s one of the benefits of being free-to-try, as it means those of you who’re sceptical can give it a go now on iOS (and soon on Android) to see for yourself if you’re going to drop your cash on it.
