The First Descendant Season 2 Episode 2 has been highly-anticipated ever since the initial reveal of Serena. While she is incredibly exciting as a new playable character, there’s plenty else for TFD fans to anticipate including a selection of new skins. Nexon has shared the release date and time for when The First Descendant Season 2 Episode 2 will start, and here you will also find the abilities for Serena plus Nexon’s new collection of skins.
The First Descendant Season 2 Episode 2 and Serena release date
The release date for The First Descendant Season 2 Episode 2 and Serena is March 13th. This was confirmed by Nexon as part of the March 2025 roadmap.
Unfortunately, if you are stuck on PS4 and Xbox, this is the last chapter of the game you will get to enjoy as Nexon is ending support for last-gen consoles come the beginning of Season 3 in June.
When does The First Descendant Season 2 Episode 2 start?
The release time for when The First Descendant Season 2 will start is 5AM PDT/8AM EDT/12PM GMT on March 13th. All of the above hours have been confirmed in Nexon’s maintenance notice.
Per the developer, maintenance for TFD will begin at 10PM PDT on March 12th, as well as 1AM EDT/5AM GMT on March 13th. Maintenance is then scheduled to finish at the above hours.
There is always the possibly delays and extensions occur, so make sure to follow firstdescendant on X for continuous updates from Nexon.

TFD Serena abilities
Below are the abilities for Serena in The First Descendant:
- Divinity (Passive):
- Serena gains an additional stat bonus when firing a firearm in midair (increased ATK and accuracy, reduced Recoil, triggers when she’s airborne in any way, so flying, jumping, falling, or using the Grappling Hook)
- Sacred Flame (Fire, Singular):
- Fires flames in the direction of the crosshairs to deal damage and inflict Repentance. On hitting an ally, grants Blessing.
- Repentance acts the same as Burn. Firearm attacks against enemies inflicted with Repentance have a chance to recover Rounds for stowed firearms, and defeating affected enemies can spread this condition to anyone nearby.
- Blessing heals you over time.
- Ascension (Fire, Singular):
- Greatly decreases gravity while this skill is active. Firearm attacks while in mid-air have additional effects depending on the Rounds in use. However, Jump and Grappling Hook charge times have been adjusted.
- Soar (Fire, Dimension):
- When used on the ground, Serena shoots into the air and deals some AoE damage around her. When used in mid-air, Serena moves quickly in the direction of movement and Reloads the currently equipped weapon. She moves farther the longer you hold the button. You can use it in combination with Ascension to stay airborne for quite some time.
- Redemption (Fire, Dimension):
- When used on the ground, removes all debuffs on Serena and all allies within range, and grants Prayer of Redemption. When used in midair, grants Redemption’s Judgment to self.
- Prayer of Redemption provides healing and a damage reduction buff.
- Redemption’s Judgment increases your damage output and makes your attacks deal AoE damage in a huge area.
New TFD skins
New skins for The First Descendant Season 2 Episode 2 include an alternative attire for Serena, as well as new premium costumes for Hailey and Gley. The Hailey skins come with a new hairdo that adds “side bangs to her face,” meanwhile, the new Gley skin looks absolutely stunning.
