If you are not competing in the fleeting PVP scene of Throne & Liberty at the moment, then you are probably just out here grinding for a lot of gear to sell so you can buy actually useful items for yourself. In this guide, we will be going through one way you can do this, which is through the Bloodthirsty Sharks event that is a part of the new expansion.
Defeat the Starving Marsharks That Will Appear When Fish Carcasses Burst | Bloodthirsty Sharks Contract Guide
Basically, the Bloodthirsty Sharks quest is something that can be done in the Swamp of Silence area, and it involves luring and killing a bunch of starving sharks that have a very lucrative loot pool. The premise is also extremely simple.
When it is active, all you need to do is go to one of the designated spots in the map. Look for the yellow circles all around the Swamp of Silence zone. You cannot miss these, so just pick any of these spots and hope that you have it all to yourself or you can party up with other players there.
Refer to the map image below to see where these spots are. Again, just go to any of the yellow circles and you will be able to start the fights from there.
In any of these yellow circles on the map, assuming that nobody has triggered it yet, there will be a fish carcass there. As the objective implies, all you need to do is attack it to make it burst, which will create an aura around this location.
When this happens, while you are within the radius of the aura, you will get the Scent of Blood status effect. You will need this to attract Marsharks to your location. In this case, they will merely spawn all around this designated spot.
While this is active, starving versions of the Marsharks will start spawning all around you. These things will keep spawning for a few minutes. Eventually, the Scent of Blood status effect will disappear, and these special enemies will stop spawning.
All you really do is continuously move to fish carcass spots and kill Starving Marsharks until you are done and are satisfied with the drops. They have a chance to drop some really good gear worth selling, but the drop rates are pretty low, so do not expect to make a quick buck with this method.

One thing to note is that only the starving variants of enemies are the ones worth killing. There are going to be various other Marsharks around the area, and they are not worth killing at all. Do not waste your time fighting those as you will be wasting the Scent of Blood status effect.
Also, since this is a fairly well known grinding method, expect a lot of other players doing this as well. If your current server is crowded, try to party up with other people. Not only will this make your kills go by faster, it also lets you cover a wider area as there are multiple fish carcasses that are close to one another.
Just be wary of bots, as it is entirely possible that there are people macroing these events and are going to be unresponsive as they occupy some of the spots. If this is the case, just pick a more isolated fish carcass and start farming there on your own.

Finally, one last thing to keep in mind is that these starving Marsharks supposedly drop items that are not even supposed to be in the game yet. Depending on when you are reading this, these weapons will go for a ton of lucent in the auction house because of this oversight.

Again, though, be wary of the extremely low drop rates. Some players have stated that they can barely get more than one item to drop despite grinding it for tens of hours with a full party. If you manage to get good RNG, you will be swimming in cash.
That is pretty much all you need to know in order to start farming this contract, which has a very low chance of dropping tier two items. That is also another slow grind, but it will at least let you do something else if you get tired of fighting sharks.
