How to Unlock 7-Star Tera Raids
7-Star Tera Raids are not unlocked from the get-go in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Firstly, players will need to make sure that they beat the game and complete the Academy Ace Tournament. This will unlock 5-star Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. After that, it is all about completing a few more 5-star Tera Raids, and then it will automatically unlock 6-star and 7-star Tera Raids. If players don’t see the Skeledirge Tera Raid in-game, then they will need to first make sure they go to the Poke Portal and download the latest news to get access to the Raids.
Best Counters and Weakness for Mighty Skeledirge
Since Skeledirge will have a Fire Tera-type Pokemon, it is weak to Water, Ground, and Rock-type moves. While players can use any of these types to counter Skeledirge, it can be a bit tricky to beat due to its build. Here are the best counters for Skeledirge.
Kyogre
Kyogre has been one of the most popular Pokemon to beat Skeledirge, with several players having quite a bit of success using it even while going solo. The strategy mostly involves using Rain Dance to get a boost, and then utilizing Aqua Ring and Surf to take down Skeledirge. Another move that can turn out to be quite useful for Skeledirge is Muddy Water, as it will ensure that Skeledirge doesn’t hit as often, reducing its accuracy.
However, the only catch is that it might take a few tries before Muddy Water is effective. As far as the Held Item is concerned, Shell Bell seems to be the perfect choice for this Pokemon as it ensures that the Kyogre can stay on the battlefield for longer.
Blissey
This is one Pokemon that might not come off as an obvious choice against Skeledirge but is very effective. This is due to its Skill Swap move, which can help players deal with Skeledirge’s annoying Unaware ability. Apart from that, the strategy is quite simple and involves using Stored Power until stats reset, followed by Calm Mind, and then terastallizing and using Stored Power again. Twisted Spoon is a good Held item for this strategy.
Azumarill
As is the case with most Tera Raids, Azumarill can be used effectively to take down Skeledirge as well. The strategy is similar to the other Tera Raids and involves using a Shell Bell or Metronome as the Held Item. Apart from that, it is mostly about using Liquidation along with Rain Dance. The classic Belly Drum is ineffective here due to Skeledirge’s Unaware Ability, so that is something that players should be wary of. The only caveat is that players trying it solo might need a decent team to ensure that Azumarill is able to hold up against the Pokemon.
