It seems that playtesting for the as-yet-unnamed next game in the venerable Battlefield franchise is currently underway; EA has been rather quiet, instead, we’ve deduced this by the constant stream of leaked gameplay footage that started flooding our feeds over the weekend. Oddly enough, the publisher/developer doesn’t appear to be trying to pull it all down, and hardcore fans seem to be loving what they’ve seen so far.
Massive FPS account CharlieIntel claims that some sort of NDA is in play, but others claim that earlier takedown requests by EA have since been retracted (thanks, PC Gamer). As it stands, plenty of footage is floating around, and first impressions seem quite positive. Players burned by Battlefield 2042 are cautiously optimistic that, indeed, we might actually be back.
