Marvel Rivals is often known to grant its players with freebies, right from cosmetic items, to event-based skins or even the game’s currency in Units or Chrono Tokens. With the latest ongoing Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event, players can claim a free skin and over 1,000 Units by simply earning Galacta’s Power Cosmic across matches.
However, it’s also quite rare when players are granted free Units without having to put the effort like when NetEase gifted everyone 200 Units for unexpected server issues. While that was positively welcomed by players, the devs have brought another opportunity for all players to earn some free units, but this time you’re expected to showcase your offensive skills in Marvel Rivals Quick Match gameplay using Human Torch and The Thing.
Marvel Rivals Reddit Challenge grants over 1,000 Units to players with highest KOs
Marvel Rivals has announced a Reddit Challenge called K.O. Competition to encourage players to use the new Season 1.5 heroes The Thing and Human Torch in Quick Play matches. According to the challenge, players need to aim to get as many KOs (knockouts or eliminations) using Human Torch or The Thing in Quick Match playlists.
Here are the official Rules:
Rules
- There are two prize pools for this challenge, so you must select either Human Torch or The Thing to enter, you cannot be eligible for both prize pools.
- Try and collect as many KOs in quickplay as you can with one of the characters.
- The entry with the most KOs wins the top prize, the 4 entries with the next highest KOs wins the middle prize, and so on; every entry will receive at least 100 units for their participation.
- To participate, you must submit a screenshot of the hero statistics screen of either Human Torch or The Thing to the Google Form posted below. This screenshot must include the following information:
- You must sort by Season 1.5 (Eternal Night Falls) and quickplay.
- It must display your in-game name.
- It must display the amount of K.Os received for Human Torch or The Thing.
- An example image of what your submission should look like is above the rules list.
- Additional verification may be requested to confirm the validity of the entry.
If you’re wondering what you can get upon successful submission, the Prize Pool structure is as follows:

Furthermore, you need to submit your entry with a Google Form link and upon the conclusion of the event, NetEase will make a Google Sheet public with any sensitive information de-identified to maintain fair play and transparency among players.
The challenge will end on March 17, 2025, so you only have a few days left before you can submit the images and be eligible to claim your free Units.
