Segway today opens pre-orders on the Ninebot Max G3 at only $899.99 for a limited time. First debuted at CES, the Max G3 is the third generation of the brand’s best-selling Max series. Segway has completely redesigned its flagship eKickScooter to ensure the all-new Max G3 continues to set the standard with category-leading performance and smart tech. Here’s what the press release had to say.

Overview
“The Max series has always been a favorite in our micromobility lineup,” said VP of Sales Tom Hebert. “It’s an extremely well-rounded product line that has become a benchmark in its class. The new Max G3 builds on that legacy and sets the bar even higher. Our engineers and designers really knocked it out of the park, and daily commuters are going to love the thrill and performance of the new Max G3.”
The Segway Ninebot Max G3 is a premium urban commuter that prioritizes comfort and features, but there’s still plenty of performance packed into its sleek form factor. It outperforms its predecessor (the best-selling Max G2) with a greater max speed (28 miles per hour (ca. 45 km/h)) and a 0 to 15 mile (ca. 24 km)-per-hour time of just 2.4 seconds in Boost Mode. Thanks to SegRange efficiency optimization, it is also capable of up to 50 miles (ca. 80 km) on a single charge.

The new scooter boasts an ultra-smooth ride thanks to dual shock absorbers front and rear (two on each end) featuring adjustable hydraulic damping. The SegRide stability enhancement system, standard on all Segway third generation scooters, optimizes geometry and ergonomics for a stable ride at speed and confident handling. Rolling on 11-inch self-sealing tires makes worrying about flats a thing of the past, while Segway Dynamic Traction Control (SDTC) and Segway Anti-Lock Braking System (S-ABS) also contribute to a safer riding experience. Stopping duties are handled by two-piston disc brakes front and rear.
The Max G3 features Segway’s most advanced multi-function, full-color TFT display with real-time ride stats like speed and range, turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call notifications and more. AirLock autonomous unlocking and Apple Find My capability add security and convenience. The Max G3 also features a 360-degree lighting system with underglow lighting and an automatic headlight that is three times brighter than before, along with front and rear turn indicators that sync with underglow lighting so you can see and be seen. And topping up from empty only takes 3.5 hours thanks to FlashCharge technology, or as little as 2.5 hours with dual-input charging and an available DC charger (sold separately).
