- Kumome is an upcoming strategy passion project coming to iOS and Android
- Leap into five mystical worlds and over 200 levels
- Experience a handcrafted narrative and original soundtrack to accompany proceedings
When it comes to the board game and deckbuilding genres on mobile, there are a great many to choose from. So when I heard about the passion project Kumome, I was sceptical that it could stand out. But this upcoming release set to hit Android and iOS on March 17th may offer just enough to entice even cynics such as myself.
So, what does Kumome have to offer? And is that passion project moniker truly justified? Well, first off we’ve got a hefty amount of content from the get-go. Kumome boasts eight distinctive heroes to play as, and over 200 (yes, hundred) levels to conquer as you journey through five mystical kingdoms. You can even customise your chosen hero using a selection of outfits and colour palettes!
Naturally, there’s also multiplayer where you can pit your wits against other players in PvP or get a little bit of help via co-op. On top of that, you’ve got the always-welcome addition of a handcrafted narrative campaign to play through and a full original soundtrack to accompany.
An epic saga
So far it’s very much sounding like Kumome is going to be a filled-to-the-gills entry in the board game genre for mobile. And I think it’s safe to say that it’s thoroughly earned that passion project title. The best part is that all of this content is also just the launch version of Kumome, and I reckon we can expect plenty of new additions and support in the future if it does well.
But if you’re looking to strain your brain cells even further and give your mind a workout, there’s no need to stop at just Kumome.
