It feels like there are constantly new Xbox controllers hitting the market these days, but a lot of them unfortunately aren’t wireless, and we’re always particularly intrigued when we start seeing features like Hall Effect sticks and triggers.
So, let’s take a look at the new Nacon Revolution X Unlimited controller! This was actually unveiled last year, but pre-orders have begun exclusively via Nacon’s website today at a pretty eye-watering price of £179.90 / $199.90.
For your money, you’re getting a wireless Xbox controller with all sorts of features – an LCD screen providing game information along with the ability to configure audio and gameplay, Hall Effect technology in both the sticks and triggers, a rechargeable battery offering a minimum of ten hours per-charge, and a whole lot more.
- Compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Windows devices and android based devices
- 3 connection types: radio frequency, wired and/or Bluetooth
- Rechargeable battery offering a minimum of ten hours’ autonomy
- Hall Effect technology in joysticks and triggers
- Integrated LCD screen for easy and intuitive programming and audio source mixing
- Trigger blockers, D-pad and action buttons equipped with Omron® micro-switches.
- 6 programmable shortcut buttons
- Ergonomic customization: six additional weights, six joystick heads, two joystick rings and two directional crosses included
- PC and Shooter Pro Mode with exclusive features
As mentioned in the headline, Nacon is advertising this Revolution X Unlimited controller as the “ideal choice” not only for FPS fans, but also for third-person shooter fans. And, as highlighted in that last bullet point, the controller does indeed support a “Shooter Pro Mode” that apparently allows you to “completely eliminate the joystick deadzone for greater reactivity, precision and performance in shooting games”.
Here’s a bit more on why Nacon considers the Revolution X Unlimited such a good controller for FPS fans:
“NACON has specialized in the design of premium official accessories for nearly 10 years and developed the Revolution X Unlimited in collaboration with the Designed for Xbox team. It’s the ideal choice for FPS/TPS gamers, thanks to its unique blend of customization options and features that guarantee durability and precision. To achieve these aims, the team integrated Hall effect technology, which reduces the risk of stick drift and extends the controller’s lifespan. The controller also boasts trigger blockers, which make it adaptable to different types of games, and a battery that allows for sessions of over 10 hours on a single charge.”
If you’re interested, we’ll throw a link to Nacon’s official website down below where you can check out even more details on the controller (and obviously, you can pre-order it if you wish). It’s release date is set for April 30th, 2025.
