Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the superhero action game featuring Black Panther and Captain America, has been an elusive game since its initial reveal, but thanks to a loose-lipped voice actor, it seems we now know when it’s due out.
In an interview with The Direct, voice actor Khary Payton — who plays Black Panther in the game — says the game is “still planning on 2025” for launch, narrowing that down to “a Christmas situation”.
First revealed in 2022 without a title, the game got its first proper unveiling at last year’s GDC.
As the name suggests, the game has a historic setting, taking place in occupied Paris. It’s a single player action adventure that’ll let you play as beloved heroes Black Panther and Captain America, as well as two other agents looking to take down the evil Hydra organisation.
A 2025 release year has been shown for this game before, but now we know to expect it in the last few months of the year, if Payton’s comments are correct.
